U Value - is the inverse of R Value. The lower the U Value, the better the insulating ability. (R=1/U)

SHGC - Solar Heat Gain Coefficient is the solar heat radiation through a window expressed a s a number between 0 and 1. The lower the SHGC the less heat is transmitted.

VLT - Visible Light Transmittance is an optical property expressed a s a number between 0 and 1. The higher the VLT, the more daylight that is transmitted. A high VLT is desireable to maximize day light.
